Spanglish

Spanglish: Inglañol

Why do we always just leave it as Spanglish? English hegemony just maybe? The googlage difference between these two terms is stunning.

Sara,

It was by chance that I came across your wonderful blog. We shared interpreting duties once in Porto Alegre in 2005 as Babels members.

I wanted to let you know that in Mexico and other Latin American countries people use "espanglés" for "Spanglish".

Feel free to get in touch should you want the Mexican perspective on any social justice related term.

Saludos,
Atenea
